Amicitia

The two-masted ‘klipper’ ‘Amicitia’ was built in 1889 as a sailing cargo ship. For years, she carried beer in the southern part of the Netherlands. Later, she was converted into a comfortable charter ship.

The ‘Amicitia’ is a comfortable ship with seven twin cabins. The pleasant dayroom is the scene of enjoyable evenings. There is a safe cockpit on deck.

Skipper Thomas Terpstra is not only an enthusiastic sailor but also a certified tidal mudflats guide. He likes to share the magic of all facets of the Frisian Sea tidal mudflats, such as beaching the ship, walking across the mudflats, even night sailing.

Other options include a nature trip on the eastern Frisian Sea or exploring the Frisian Sea tidal mudflats in the winter months.

Aboard the ‘Amicitia’, you will become one with the Netherlands’ most beautiful natural area.
